What is a Vineyard?
A vineyard is not the same thing as a winery. Though most wineries do have vineyards on site, they do not have to have them in order to be considered a winery. Vice versa, you do not have to have a winery to be a vineyard. A vineyard is the yard or area in which the grapes are grown for the wine. A vineyard is a beautiful thing and it does take special care and consideration in order to make sure that the vines are well taken care of so that they do produce the grapes that are needed to make the wine. A vineyard can be dedicated to one type of wine grape or you can have a vineyard that has several different types of grape on site so that the winery can make different wines, blends and more.
